Why word of mouth has a ceiling

Word of mouth is great, but it only reaches people who already know someone who knows you. New flats, new families and offices in your area have no way to find you. Every week, people near you are searching for exactly what you do.

Five habits that win more jobs

1. Reply within an hour. The first good reply often gets the job.
2. Quote clearly. “₹350 labour to fit the fan, parts extra, I can come at 5 pm today” beats “I’ll see and tell you”.
3. Show your work. Keep before-and-after photos of neat jobs.
4. Ask for a review. Right after the job, when the customer is happy.
5. Keep your area tight. Jobs within 3–5 km mean more jobs per day and less travel.
